Position Summary
FPBP is seeking a Research Director to support our political efforts in congressional elections. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Research Director and the political team to advance our mission of strengthening bipartisan support for the U.S. policies through robust, data-driven research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on elections, candidates, districts, and emerging developments related to federal campaigns.
- Draft high-quality research reports and strategic memos.
- Compile and verify backup documentation for election-related materials.
- Collaborate closely with research, political, and analytics teams to ensure the timely production and delivery of accurate research products.
- Assist with rapid-response research needs during the election cycle.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in campaign, nonprofit, or government research roles (political research experience strongly preferred).
- Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with outstanding organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with LexisNexis and other professional research tools and databases.
- Deep commitment to the U.S. Constitution.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Compensation & Work Environment
This role offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. FPBP provides a comprehensive benefits package, contributing to a strong total compensation offering. The position is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote each week.
