Position Summary

The Communications Writer & Editor plays a key role in developing and refining a wide range of content that promotes FPBP’s mission, policy goals, and political initiatives. This includes messaging aimed at internal and external stakeholders, such as FPBP members, government officials, and staff. The ideal candidate will drive engagement through compelling email campaigns, effective messaging strategies, and high-quality written materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and edit content including fundraising emails, donor communications, speeches, talking points, letters, and video scripts.

  • Ensure all materials are aligned with FPBP’s tone, style, and goals across digital, print, video, and social platforms.

  • Provide meticulous copyediting and proofreading in adherence to AP Style.

  • Strengthen member engagement through targeted digital communications and support grassroots fundraising efforts.

  • Collaborate with the Communications Department to:

    • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan that fosters activism and organizational connection.

    • Identify opportunities to support ongoing initiatives and craft appropriate materials.

    • Ensure quality control and consistent processes across all communications projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to the U.S.-Israel relationship and FPBP’s mission.

  • Proven experience in writing for fundraising or political campaigns.

  • Excellent writing, editing, research, and proofreading skills; AP Style proficiency required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; political or fundraising background strongly preferred.

  • Deep interest in current events and relevant policy issues.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, persuasive content.

  • Professional discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with InDesign and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
